EHI, the organisation
EHI is a scientific institute of the retail industry. The 500 members of EHI include international retail companies and their associations, manufacturers of consumer goods and capital goods, and various service providers.
EHI Retail Institute e. V., a registered society, carries out research work on important matters impacting the future of the retail industry. Information technology, payment systems, logistics, packaging, security technology, eCommerce, store types, store furnishings and equipment, and marketing are the principal topics. All studies are drawn up in close collaboration with representatives of the member companies. We communicate the results of our research work to the retail industry and translate them into concrete recommendations.
EHI Retail Institute GmbH complements the range of services of the society with contract research and consulting services for individual companies, conferences and specialist publications. The close cooperation with Messe Düsseldorf in connection with the EuroShop and EuroCIS trade fairs is a major focus and hallmark of EHI's work.
EHI is involved in other important organisations of the retail industry:
- GS1 Germany GmbH (50 % Markenverband [Brand Association] and 50 % EHI)
- ORGAINVENT GmbH (50 % CMA and 50 % EHI)
- FOODPLUS GmbH (100 % EHI)
EHI cooperates with the most important international institutes and associations of the retail industry.
