Forms of payment in retail
Convenience for customers, speedy handling of payments, risk of bad-debt losses, costs of different forms of payment - deciding between cash, credit card or debit card is not easy for retailers.
In an annual study EHI documents the incidence of different forms of payment in retailing, explains the advantages and drawbacks of each form of payment, and deduces scenarios and concrete recommendations for retailing practice. Technical and organisational innovations are analyzed and evaluated at EHI in close cooperation with the people in the practical business of retailing and the associations of the retail industry.
